It is a great sampler with great synthesis included. The Sequencer is very basic and the lack of effects is a draw back, hardly a workstation. The supplement manual for the mkII upgrade is really terrible, the worst published by Roland. It has very limited information on even using external media devices. Luckily the menu system on the DJ-70mkII is easy to navigate. Overall the Dj-70 is a great "Sampler"
