Richard Wintle ( ) writes:
Roland's budget rhythm box, the "x0x" that analogue lovers love to hate! 5 velocity levels (and programmable accent) output, responds to all incoming velocities. Nice MIDI implementation with separately programmable note # and channel for each instrument, and the pads MIDI out as well. Polyphony is limited to 8 (I think) because some instruments cut each other off (notably, low/mid/high tom/timbale, open/closed hh, etc.). Can handle odd time signatures through setting different numbers of beats in each pattern. All in all a wonderful little box if you can deal with the punchy and really short PCM samples.

Comments About the Sounds:
Short and punchy PCM drum samples.

(Thanks to Richard Wintle for this info.)
