One of the first 8-bit sample-based drum-machines, the RX11 was considered a highly modern music instrument back in the early 80's. I remember myself standing in awe, listening to its authentic drum sounds at the music shop, wishing I could earn some money to buy one of these wonderful beasts. Today it doesn't nearly sound realistic, but the RX11 still has some magic sparkle left - well, in my eyes at least. The bass drum is actually soft and dull and the snare drum is just a nasty crack. However, with some careful signal processing and equalizing, almost all of the drum sounds will sound pretty decent. But do yourself a favour and forget about the cymbals - they are absolutely horrible.
