I've had this little guy the longest in my constantly changing rig. Grungy sampling at it's best ! It's simple and straight forward. Has a variety of effects to do some wild stuff to samples. My favorite feature is the Over Write, which lets you put samples on top of each other, creating a layered sound ! There's a loop feature , but it's not controllable. No way of saving the sounds , but I am going to get a new Akai and sample the VSS samples to that. I've had the SK-1 which came out around the same time as this , and I like VSS better. I haven't seen them around since I got mine , so I 'm not sure how much they go for. Takes batteries , so it's portable. Great fun !

Comments About the Sounds:
You get 11 voices , which after a while all sound alike. You can edit the sounds , but there's still not much of a difference. But it is a sampler
