Look, face facts: where else are you going to get 4-bit sampling, analog and digital voices, additive synthesis, envelope control over all sounds, rhythm presets and sequencing for this kind of price? Buy one now, run, don't walk, get a reverb and delay, some kind of filter like a wah pedal for example and some distortion. If you aren't banging out the dopest low down lay back dub of your life, go home, give it up and get a real job.
SK-1 in da house!
The big front panel secrets of this puppy are the envelopes (yes kids, that's what those strange squiggly shapes over some of the keys are), the additive synth (kind of like partials on a drawbar organ) and the portamento. Swooping 101 lines here we come.
This is the only toy instrument I've ever come across with real musical expressive control, limited as it is. And the analog voices (forgot which ones now, but flute for sure) are fatter than Kentucky Fried.
This synth is destined to be your new best friend, it's in the stars, resistance is useless...

I love this machine, it's 10 times better than that crapy korg TRITON.What realy metters is the size when it comes to music and this thing is very much smaller than most of stuff.I mean its got the best monopolyphonic sampler with awesome 1mb memory,I mean what more do you want.?///it has a sound, as a metter of fact its got more than one sound and you can play those via black and white keys that are built right into the machine.AWESOME and you can actualy play defferent notes with those keys and magic happens This thing is pure clasic almost as classy as tr808 But the 808 cant even be compared to this classic.Last thing I want to mention is that this pangopalyphic tibi synth has changed my life or did it???????????????????
if lost or stolen I would buy a fat bag of marijuana leafs instead....awesome

2 weeks ago I bought an SK1 and a CZ1000 (w/cartridge) at the thrift store for $33. Both work. Anyway, I absolutely love the SK1. I mean, there aren't many samplers out there that you can take to the bathroom with you and play around while you take a dump... absolutely the shitz-). Everybody needs to get one. 5/5
