I got an sk-1 when i was 13. very, very silly but cool. It's a shame that they don't make them anymore.

The SK-1 could be the most fun you can have with 10-40 bucks. Those preset drum beats are my favorite. They just rock. Try playing 2 3/4 beat (i think?) then do a fill in for a couple times, then switch to the 4/4 dance beat! It is totally progressive and groovable!!

I originally bought this to make a couple bucks. No way am I selling this. It is too much fun. I sampled some drum hits into the sk, resampled them back into my MPC. Tweaked 'em - Then made some 1 bar, 160 bpm drum tracks. Re-Re sampled that back into the sk and again back to the mpc. Used the the time stretch bpm match to slow it down. Instant heaven. I never liked grit before I got the sk1. BTW- ever heard the trance song, "Escape" by Kay Cee? Reconize the off 1/8 note sound on the disco beat. Uh-huh

I have this unit sitting on my computer desk right now as i write this.I never realized how my people like this keyboard,im impressed!!the brass ensensemble and portamento are great on this unit.I got mine for $10 at the flea market(the place to shop for old keyboards when pawn shops fail.).Love it.I would like to mod it to resynth the preset sounds especially the brass ens sound i like so much.offers 3 track monophonic sequencing in real time.I am a casio collector and i have the sk1,and sk10,need the sk5,sk8,sk100,sk200,and the rare sk2100.had a sk5 and moded the pitch circuit so that when i touched the copper pad i could pitch bend it way low or way high.If anybody has sk100,200,or sk2100 for sale or trade for 200mmx computer im useing right now, please email me
