This machine is a state-of-art to nowhere. Its simply doesnt work.

The sounds are poor, the effects are poor, the keys has a big course and difficult solos.

Simply the bad! Bad as my english!

Dont buy it. The VL-1 maybe its better. Or put more money and try a real machine like KORG N264, like I do.

Bill F a part-time user from Wales UK writes:
Sturdy, springy keys. Simple MIDI with some quirks (see previous). One or two sounds useful or at least interesting, but almost every other synth can do them as well if not better.

Use it for entering data into Cubase. I give it 2/5 as it's dirt cheap, and hasn't let me down.

Summary: if someone offers you one for free, think about it before saying no.

perhaps you're missing the point?

it's a low end casio, a step up from the pure consumer market models, but not much so. It's a cheap synth and it doesn't pretend to be anything else.

is someone bitter because they were conned into buying what they thought was "almost as good as a Jupiter 8" or what?

This is to Salenico below me, are you sure it's the Casio HZ600 you got???, as you've just sed "it's great synth, maybe the best in the world" MAYBE you should try comparing it to a Juno 106?!!!!!!!!!

I hate my HZ600! it's useless, the keys don't go low enough even with a transpose right down, the LPF is so NOT fat, the resonance doesn't self resonate and that means no fat too, and chorus is rubbish and you can't even LFO the filter cuttoff! it lacks so many features of it's time! even a the old moog synths has more features which is almost like 2 decades older. they've even nicked the alpha dail idea off the alpha juno!

down here is a "marks out of 5" I saw 1 but I actually mean -5 as in CRAP!
