A great synth. But, now, you can buy a Z1 for under five hundred quid, so what's tha point? Synths come and go, technology sometimes makes things better, and deals definitely get better. Now much, if anything, has come about recently which is better than the moss system. Old gear just doesn't hold its value like it used to, no matter how good it is. The Prophecy looks very expensive. Buy a Z1.

I have owned this machine since new and through all these years other synths have come and gone but I will never release my grip on my Prophecy!! If you have the patience to program it, you can make any sound you have in your head. brilliant.

Correction: the second factory patch I mentioned below is A-59 (Multi guitar).

Not one of you has mentioned the guitar sounds it seems.... that is what really sets this apart from alot of monophonic synths to me. I play the factory patch A-11 "Feedbeck" all the friggin' time! Kick it up an octave and use those wheels and "log". Jaw dropping solos if you are good at pitch bending! Plus try A-21(I think)the multi guitar sound. Push the log up and lock it. Hold down a key and let the feedback begin. Again, use the pitch wheel for a whammy effect... All in all, I don't even bother with knob twirling(short attention span and stupidity I guess) but at least I can if I really want to tweak a sound.

I just got my Prophecy one week ago and I am very very impressed. If you like to make your own sounds and are patient and don't mind cruising through a maze of pages in order to make them then this is the synth for you! I would highly recomend this synth.
