there's more to this box than i thought there was. you can make some pretty cool evolving drones and weird effects as well as analog style beeps and bass. i didn't realize that the chorus/flanger and the delay were both available at the same time before i had one. thought it was one or the other. that's cool. definitely worth the money!

Jon Johnson a part-time user from USA writes:
Got one a while back. Probably don't have to explain the price tag comparison. No LFO was disappointing but you can make up for it a little by using the chorus/flanger section's rate knob. It really shines as a flying saucer sounder. Jamming up patterns on the fly is a real gas, but sometimes running the sequences/patterns and twisting knobs is fun but you can kinda get uninspired by it. Sort of bored. Which probably explains the glut of them being auctioned off on E-Bay.

For me I like playing it from other midi sources for certain lead playing, but prefer a lot of times to use it's key pads to jam and record realtime patterns. Using it in a structured song requires me tp pay more attention to pattern details and editing. Sending program changes in sequencer enviornment is a royal pain a lot. Because in a 4 bar pattern you must send the program change earlier than normal because the pattern must finish it's length.

Over all it is a cheap good jamming box.

Dustin a part-timer user from USA writes:
There are very strong opinions on this synth. Either very positive or very negative. Personally, i love it for the price and for the sounds. I'm not a purist, analog freak. Although most of my gear is analog, i like what the new stuff can do, too. What i don't like about it is certain limitations and stuff taken off of it like lfo, etc. Otherwise, great synth for your dollar

This is my first real synth. I love it just got it monday and I have been playing with it tons.

The presets aren't to bad + you can really make them fly with the nobs =)

Haven't done any songs of my own yet but I can't wait. Next on my list FR-777

hate (or love) to tell ya this man, but the electribes are very digital. Digital rocks too I reckon. You are right though, the machines are our friends
