After trading in my K2500 AND TR Rack I hoped to get best of both worlds with a fully expanded triton PRO. Most of the presest are crisp and clean (if not a little flat), sampling is a doddle (but no time stretch option ???????) and the sequencer is rock steady but hardly gonna replace CWPA8 or VST For the price, nothing touches it, but remember the SCSI and MOSS boards are gonna add another 500 pounds to the cost

The Triton is well worth the price. The arpeggiation is fully programmable, the sequencer makes sense, and the sounds are much better than the Trinity. The sampler is alright, much easier to use than the Kurzweil (whose boards always break down.) They've been out in larger stores since midJune. I checked out Sam Ash, their prices kicked GC's ass completely. And, the guys at Sam Ash actually knew what was going on - unlike GC's keyboard guys who seem to be filling in from the drum department. The Triton makes much more sense than the Kurzweil series.

This thing makes the Trinity look like ancient technology. The sound of the Trinity is there, but everything else is way beyond anything the Trinity can do. A simple, extremely easy to use sampler... a Z1 style arpegg... an actual sequencer on a Korg that makes sense and is musical! The drum sounds alone make this thing worth the money. And check out the amazingly easy routing and the cool filters. (the record crackle filter is WAY cool!) I can't say enough. It still can't match some of the aspects of the K2500, but for everything else (and the fact that I don't have to deal with the impossible Kurz interface), the Triton is a steal in comparison.

The Triton is a great board. Owned many workstations and it is definiitly a great machine. Got mine at Guitar Center(best prices they guarantee to beat anyone's price (Sampler, knobs, prophecy expansion and ever cooler is the touch screen. Definite 5

I am going to have one in my possession soon! The TRITON is amazing. It fixes all of the Trinity's polyphony problems, adds an excellent sampler, and is cheap enough for most serious users. If you already have a Trinity, I'm not sure theres enough new stuff on the TRITON to justify buying one - but, if you wanted the Trinty but wanted more polyphony AND an *actual* sampler, the TRITON is great. Amazing sounds, amazing editability, amazing effects, amazing expandability! Buy one now, for those of you out there who are workstationless.
