ric stave a professional user from USA writes:
I just recently retired my entire live rig (24 space rack with 2 samplers and 5 sound modules, controlled by a Korg 01/Wfd and a Roland A-70), and replaced it with the Triton Pro, loaded with the Vintage board and The MOSS Expansion. I do still use a Roland SP-303 for long sampled phrases, but my setup time (and especially LOAD OUT time) has been cut by 2/3. Do some of your own programming rather than push through factory presets, and you'll be quite happy with this machine. My only beef is w/the location of the SCSI port- I use an APEX column type stand, and if I wanted to hook up the SCSI live, I'd have to change stands, cuz that's right where the post is. An upgrade of the 3.5 drive to a zip drive would make my year! To all the naysayers - maybe you didn't research your needs enough before you bought this synth. It does exactly what I need it to, and replaced a ton of gear I used to have to lug around. And as far as on-board sequencers being unprofessional - hey, PC & Mac is great in the studio, but when you play a multi-band show w/10 min to changeover, I appreciate the on-board even more! Take it for what it is, and if the 'extra' sequencer is your only gripe, then add the rack version to your setup.

Peace, out. -ric

Cousin Eddie a professional user from Chicago writes:
The MOSS add-on( 6 voice z1) for the Triton is incredible and is a standard for many forms of electronic music.

This is the same synth engine found in the Prophecy and Z1, only you get the killer Triton efx, arrpegiator, and sequencer.
