The Triton is fabulous. It has exceeded my expectations. I have it controlling my SuperNova and my Kurzweil K2500R. The Sequencer is great and theres a real intimacy which helps the creative process. I even have the Tritons internal sequencer recording my Midi Guitar Controller as well. The sound is very nice and it blends very well with a phat synth like Kurzweil or SuperNova. I would give it 6 stars if it had a Digital Out. Thanks for a workstation that does what it says it does.

great synth, great gui. Just try sampling a house dance loop on an Akai s5000 and marrying it to a few Jv-2080 patches via cubase and saving all that with independant effects on each unit and loading it again some other day..You'll tear your hair out trying!!, not to mention waste about 6 hours every day making the crappy Akai process your sounds...This does the lot quickly and with oomph. All in one box, big juicy dance orientated greatness...I sold all my other gear and have started making music again. No more wasted hours configuring and synching incompatible midi kit!!

LC1200 a hobbyist user from USA writes:
The Triton is a computer in a keyboard body. This thing is deep. I definetly like the way the screen handles. It's a real smooth machine. It's not as loud or thick as an ASR-10 but it does has some really good sounds in it. The sampler is the same as an MPC without the pads. The sequencer is tight and equipped with a bunch of features. What I like best is the onscreen mixer. The way it lays out the tracks and you can slide the faders up and down like a mixing board... After you slap a couple of stickers on it this thing will be Hip Hop for good.....

EREBE a professional user from Canada writes:
I've purchased my triton USED, believe it or not. All options (moss,scsi,64Mram) for 3,500$can. My main purpose for it is to complement my SP808 for the band INSURGENT. As far as Techno-trance workstations go, this is IT. I'm curious to see what further expansions are possible.

The architecture of the machine appears outstanding - most of the complaints seem to be on the software level. I'm convinced future versions of the OS will resolve all complaints. Most owner are quite passionate of their Tritons, Korg must be bombarded with suggestions for the upgrade versions of the OS.

Maybe it'll eventually be possible to use 64 meg chips, to hit that 128 meg mark that now seems like the norm. Even the capacity to load(read) other wavefile formats.(can't wait to bounce stuff back & forth from the SP808)
