I got my n364 a few months ago, since then, I spend hours playing.. It is easy to handle! a bit heavy though.. I like the piano sounds, sax and brass sound great. strings and organs are cool too. The sequencer is easy to use, but I still don't understand well how to create and use my own patterns. Its a good keyboard, i like it very much.

I am the musician at my church and I have been using the N364 for a year now. I play a Hammond Organ at church and I was surprised at the quality hammond organ type patches on the Korg. They sound realistic. You can even adjust the rotary speaker effect (slow down, speed up,etc) The piano patch is great after I tweaked it a bit. Basses are good, strings awesome. I just don't like the small note size sequencer! All in all, a great buy. Try to get it used though, I payed $500. There's no board out there can compete with it in that price range!

I just recently bought my N364, and I now use it more than my Trinity keyboard. I really like the sounds in this thing. the sequencer is the one thing that Korg could have definitely improved upon, but I sequence everything on an Akai MPC 3000 so it's not an issue. I would recommend the N364 to anyone who wants to do R&B/ Hip-Hop music.

my 2 cents -

my first real keyboard was the korg X3 - i will always have a place in my heart for it. it was the brain of the rig, i used the sequencer for everything and it controled all other modules. however, its getting really old, the disk drive is dying (slowly, but still dying) and i need something reliable for shows, so ive made the switch to n364.

as said previously, n364 is just a souped up x3 with 2 extra sound banks in both combi and program,2 extra outs, and an arpegiator. 2 extra banks are nice, very nice, 2 extra outs are very, very nice, arp is a large pile of poo.

i really dont undestand how anyone could think of this sequencer as "hard" or "useless". of all the workstations ive tried, korg makes the abolute best and most user friendly - you want a nightmare? try that Xp60 bullshit.

as stated, i use this board for all the sequences and 80 percent of the sounds. how does it sound? pretty damn good, imo. ive never understood why people had a problem with the pianos. they sound fine for me. if i want it to sound like a grand piano stuck far up in the vaticans arse, well, i guess i'll have to stick one up there wont i? and the n364 isnt nearly as heavy or stinky. put some reverb on it. excellent. synth tones are fab as well, i especially like the "synth bass 3" program which sounds like by buddys T3. one of my favourite patches, hands down, i almost bought a T3 cause that sound was missing on the X3 and as i was told i couldnt get it. well, here it is. i dig the strings, the dont cut as much as they could, but they do when i need them to. if the sounds get old, i hook up another midi board. bam.

drums are useful. i however, do not use them, opting instead for an R5/R8 combo, controlled via midi by the sequencer. let me add that midi implementation is great as well. extremely easy to learn.

anyhow - the point of all this is - it doesnt sound like a nord, a virus, or a Q, but if thats the sound you want, buy one of those. i like the korgs cause they do what they do, and its simple to do it with them. they sound good. thats what matters.

cheers.
