I have used my N 364 for the last 3 years. Exelent keyboard, and very good sounds. Last time I have used X3 and Yamaha S30 and EX7 but N364 is better. The pianos sounds is really good, brass and organs exelent. Programing it is nice and not is hard for user. I have one suggestion. Why not you create hardwar like Hard disc for N364 or ZIP drive and Joy ball?

OK. It is OK. I have had one now for five years. It has lasted through a beating. I will keep it as long as i can, however, i had to bring it in acouple of times for repair costing 100 bucks to have faulty 1,4" connectors on the back replaced within one year of purchasing of which warranty did no cover! Yeah the piano sound sucks, but if you know anything about programing you can make it sound better (adding a little reverb and it sounds allot better). The strings sounds are good as well as the woodwind sounds. Drum sounds are ok but you can squeeze out some really cool deep bass by making your own drum set. Programing it is fun however more than two oscillators would have been nice. There are some limitations to the programing though. It would be a great first workstation but one should look into buying it used rather than new. If you are going to buy new, check out the Motif 6... very powerfull plus it has a sampling option and tons of other juicey stuff.
Basically this keyboard taught me how to make not so good sounds sound better but if you dont have the time to program your own sounds, buy something else.

Not bad at all! Its not a $3000 workstation, but for the $1000 I paid it is a real workhorse. I use it stereo through 2 Roland KC300s. First, the problems. Sequencer- not so easy to use, but its real purpose is as a sketch pad. I suggest getting a good sequencing program and using it for serious composition. The feel- OK its not a Steinway, its a synth that costs $1000. Now the good stuff. Sounds- for $1000 it sounds damn good. Drums are OK, some great some not. The presets are fine for goofing off, but when it is time for serious stuff its necessary to get under the hood and perfect your patch. I've tweaked some pathces with great outcomes. I've also used many other peoples edited patches and was blown away. Anyway, there is a useful software program available with a patch editor that makes editing and organizing easy, you can find it at soundtower.com. Or, you can go to the various patch sites and download some really well built patches and save some time. See http://www.ludd.luth.se/~kenjon/pitstop/dl_pcgsng.shtml for a good list. The EUROTECH .pcg has some awesome sounds in it.
My recommendation? Yes if you are not a pro keyboardist, it does a great job for what little it costs.

I have been using KORG N364 for the past 3 years. It is a wonderful keyboard for me, when compared to the previous ones I had been using. It has got a real weight (in music). The punches are really good. The sequencer is wonderful. I have a suggestion. Why not you create some more Indian instruments ? The thabla sound you have included is good, but the chances of editing that one are very less. I have created my own indian instruments like Mridangam, Nadaswaram, etc. No need to have so much of combinations, because they may not be useful in sequencing much. THe overall perfomance is really good. S.Mahesh Babu

I have used my n364 for the last two years...I can say that overall I am pleased. There are a few things that need work like the pianos and drum samples but, for the price you won't get any better. The keyboard in damn near bullet proof, unlike all the ensoniq products I have used! It's just like peavey amps.....you trade a little sound for reliability!
