dollar-for-dollar the best sound module out there for piano/electic piano sounds... I love mine and use it all the time!

I like the Micropiano. I've had mine now for about 4 yrs. It does a damn fine job of producing a real piano sound. If you're looking for a real piano sound, I guess you can't ask for anything closer to the real thing..without actually having a real piano. All the string patches are good. Beautiful electric piano sound on patch 17! and 19! Invest in a micropiano. You'll love it. The closet I've heard to the real thing.

The piano sounds on this are still better than those on some of the new electric pianos that companies bring out today. Good for jazz.

Great piano and electric piano sounds for the person like me who uses the crazy sounds of other synths most of the time and just needs that perfect piano now and then.

I have been using the Micropiano for quite some time now, both live and in the studio. In the studio, myself and most of my clients have always been impressed by way the piano sounds sit in the mix ( especially using the electric pianos for padding). The acoustic piano sounds work well in an ensemble piece, but is a bit thin for solo applications. They are also great for live ensemble playing, however; more attention should have been paid toward the higher notes on the electric piano sounds. There are other sounds, such as organs/strings and an effect sound. Although these patches are not bad, I find myself reaching for a different synth to accomidate the need for those sounds. For a "workhorse meat and potatoes piano module", this is an excellent piece of gear!
