I bought this one used because I wanted a real analogue monosynth with a lot of knobs for basslines and leads, and I knew it's fairly highly rated. I really like it. It sounds very distinct. It can easily sound like the overrated TB303, but it's so much more advanced with so many more features and sonic possibilities, so it can fortunately sound totally different in countless ways. With a little work and creativeness, it's also capable of some quite exciting pad sounds.
NICE STUFF!

i had a basstation rack for years. now i just got a super basstation - it took me a while coz theyre discontinued but this one has a much deeper sound, it can sound very much like a real 303 mabe even more liquid! the efx are nice and using the input can make really xplosive sounz. also this one has trigger out which is great for old gear. i paid $700 australian approx $350 U.S. well worth it. i havnt had this unit freeze on me yet. this thing is one of the main hubs of my setup with the c.v.gate converter running my sh-101 trigger out running drumtraks and audio in from mixer aux. a vast improvement on the earlier models. get one before they dissapear!!!

lockups are 90% likely to be a powersupply problem , get a new beefier one and make sure it securely fits in the socket and doesnt move around . It can also help if your old powersupply is a bit loose to firmly stick it to the bass station with sticky tape or some such thing . just make sure it keeps %100 contact all the time . Works with both my drum and bass station racks and I have not had a lockup in over 2 years since doing this . As for a review , well the clicks at the envelope suck , I would love a multimode filter and the display sucks . apart from that it rocks , not quite as fat as my pulse but still one large and versatile mother.

The Super Bass Station has been around for years and it is still one of the best bass synths on the planet!
I owned a Bass Station, sold it, and just got a Super Bass Station new for $550 from Dr. Sound in New York.
Honestly, I work with many DJ Remixers/Producer and this synth is so perfect for anything from Trance to Hard House to Ambient. I like it better than the Studio Electronics gear and for bass, it blows away the Virus.
My setup also has a Drum Station and these two synths go together perfectly! There is so much punch and the sounds are so ALIVE it's sickening!
Anyone who passes this synth up is lame..
