hmmm....strange! well anyway, yes, I agree that this synth is AWESOME! Very well-made piece of synth. I love german engineering! hard to beat in my opinion. Sirius is so fine I may have to get another for back-up at the current insanely low prices.

How can Sirius sound like a ReBirth? It's totally different. If you want ReBirth sounds get a TB-303 not a Sirius. Can ReBirth create pads, stabs and strings?
You want to hear from anybody who has got any joy at all from this piece of kit. Sirius is used by many underground artists doing Techno not Pop or Rock. I've seen pro's with these in Future Music magazine studio pictures. Even Jean Michelle Jarre and Kraftwerk use them.

Clarkee says , "It is not possible to create anything with the Sirius???" That's the most moronic thing I have ever heard. Any one who says that about any instrument is simply NOT a player. I can creat with a stick and a rock. Sirius is and awesome instrument that will not do everything. For sound sculpting most of us use FX. As far as creation goes, if you cant get anything cool out of a Sirius, then just give up music man, cuz you simply dont have a clue :0

This is a great synth. I too bought mine from the North American Quasimidi rep, who used to live right here on the Gulf in FL. You wouldn't believe the shit he had in his house (he was also the North Am. repair center/tech). I went to buy a polymorph, but he only had just the one (it was just out)for demos. Bought the sirius instead and it sounds great. I am less happy with both the vocoder and sequencer, but I use it as a sound source (my own as well as factory patches) and as my controller keyboard. Get one if you see one! Still, I can't help but wish I had scored that polymorph!

Yes, I have to agree with Mike, this board is truly amazing indeed. One of the best pieces of kit I have ever bought. I have tried almost everything out there and there's something very very unique about the Sirius. I will never sell mine. That's for sure! And I dont say that about most gear. This keyboard makes my head spin. It helps me sound better than I ever even imagined and so it is my friend. Im thinking about getting another one since Im truly in love with this machine. I also have a Raven Max and can highly recommend that as well. Im so sad that QM went under. Hard to figure that one out, but hey, its one of those mysteries I guess. The Sirius is bound to rise in price as more and more folks realize what a gem it is. Get one, and you will see. This board deserves the highest rating squared!
