The D110 is really dated nowadays. For a device of its time, this machine was MultimediaMusicPlatform. Well, thats 14 years ago. So dont care of the dated PCM sounds in it. The imprtant thing is the routing of the D-110. You get an typical analog synth with a PCM-Rompler. But you can connect both systems. Ringmodulation is the secret of this machine. Of course it can sound like a Teletubby or a cheap comerical. But it can also burn your house down. Usually the Teletubby sounds were used... For a machine with such an age,the D110 is worth to think about to get it. This is an early digital synth, with all its bugs inside, like a distorting Filter. Programming on it is also "hard stuff". But,this device has still a lot of sounds to offer.

I like this piece of eqiupment. It is easy to move around and you can make some pretty cool sounding patched with it. It is good for this and that when you are putting shit together. only thing is, it is rather noisey and and a headache to program, but well worth it for aroud 100 u.s. Get an editor if you decide to get this.

The D110 was, at the time, one of the best multi timbral modules. I still have mine. I use it for analogue type sounds. The "D" type samples in this machine do sound very dated. But if you like the next generation retro sounds, buy them now while they are still cheap. (I feel a digital revival coming soon!)

Ive only played with the D-110 for half a year but ive already comed to love it as if it was my first synth! The D-110 is increadibly cheap and in the price class it has no competition, I bought mine for 600SEK ( wich is about 50 ukpunds ).Most say programming is a hell with the small display, but i cant agree cause i think the whole machine has a pretty good layout. Per voice is up to 4 oscillators, with either PCM or synthezeiser waweforms. Stay away from the PCMs. Theyre cheasy crap and cant be routed thru the filters. The D-110 strengths lie in its very good synthezeiser section with its aggressive filters; it makes a real good TB-303 clone! Basses are also excellent for house/techno or similar. Buy one!
