Well I've read some of the review. I just want to say, if you already have one, keep it, but for those of you who doesn't have one and want to buy becouse of the review point, well think again or try one and judge your self do you really want it. actually recent product becoming cheaper and better, if you like pads&strings, more bread and butter sound with larger polyphony, selection and multitimbral try the X5DR, if you want nice piano or easy using try the nano's from alesis or micropiano and so on. the plus of the U-220 is the 6 output but still it is very harsh becouse of the lack of filter, and its true, this one is slopy. after all if you still like it and want to buy it is your choice anyway. I don't use much my U-220 but I still keep it, may be one day this too traditional sounding module going to be needed, may be.

You like it keep it.-- dislike it sell it. many people still one this module, but I know a lot more that never want to buy it even its cheap, no one can be blamed.

pianos is not bad even a bit ringging and not too dynamic couse of its filter, organs is nice, drums classic late 80's-- bass and others is about your own preferences. the strings is nice for layer.

I use the U-220 sometime . nice for thickening layers in the mix. the respond in dense seq is not fast enough.

this soundmodule is nice if you have other synths to complement. some of its sound is quite dated, but good for mimicing old songs of its age.

Soory guys... well, I actually get back to make confession, I spent weeks to program sounds in it I actually become like it... I bought it by accidents, I bought my friend portable sequencer MC-50 and he said if I add some more cash he would give me the module he didn't use anymore, he had use computer and more recent soundsource. well, I thought why shouldn't I keep this one may be some day I could find it usefull. I wish it has better filter, but for this old one, who care.

and I actually owe myself an appology to you guys there,... well for you the one living isolated in a lonely planet I'm sorry too man.

ps; sometime an instrument could trigger thousands of inspiration... and for you guys profesional from lonely planet, if you would like to hear some other synth/module that sound more beautifull or real...well, take a vacation to leave your lonely planet and you'll find some more beautifull sounding synth to inspire you. and may be you could learn some maners too... =)
