Yep, thats the only problem which I really can pin on the JX-305, its stupid not to have the memory cards, which I find very annoying. I know some ebay sites had them, but like everything else wanted, they soon go. I'm looking myself, so good luck.

cool. jx305 uses the old smartmedia 5 volt type cards and im glad to at least hear some response on these 5v smartmedia cards which are TOTALLY unavailable permanently. too bad the JX-305 doesnt use the regular "newer" smartmedia cards that you can buy anywhere for almost nothin. not sure if im ready to fork out $99 for a 4MB smartmedia card yet, but im getting closer each day as I realize that I dont have much other choice. the JX305 is a great machine but where do you guys get the memory expansion cards? are they really all gone? Roland doesnt have em either. hmmmm.

This board is about as cool as an MC-505 which aint that cool IMHO. Its way outdated! The memory cards havent been made for years and are impossible to find. The sounds are way old and dated. You can find MUCH better values for the money today. Dont even go near this thing. Its a friggin GrooveBox guys. Havent we heard enough from the Groove Box zone from Roland? I sold mine back in '99 because even then it was dated.

I love my JX-305 and have enjoyed owning it since 1999. The only thing I wish is that I could find some 5 volt smartmedia memory cards for it somewhere. They seem to be quite rare now. I should have bought some before when they were still around. Now, they are history.....bummer.

Creativity is the key word. I have had my 305 for 2mths, and I'm giving it a run for the money. I'm not in to Techno, or trans, I do jazz and gospel. Let me hare this with you guys, I link my 305 to my Enquic, link my O1V to my ADAT's and to my pc, CW9, slave some soft synths, drum machs. Man I'm in production heaven. Drum sound quality on the 305 is 4 stars. The sequincer is is basic. I'll slave to is for some of the drum patches, and the factory slap bass sound do me justics. Try doubling a a nice guitar track, pan one hard right and the other hard left. Then use the on board sorround sound panning dinggie. Guys I got this thing humming without the manual. Like I said creativity is the word.
