I work for a record label known as UB. I use many types of equipment for producing heavy trance and techno in the studio, and I must say I have the biggest soft spot for the jx-305, it is the best sounding dance synth ive heard and seen in my life. For producing beats and professional patterns, this synth as it all. Its absolutly amazing, i love it. I read many reviews about equipment being rubbish, but anyone with a true musical talent would be able to produce music on anything. The JX-305 is just like the MC-505 with extra features. Above industry work and be made on this production studio, which is what got me where I am now. Well done roland, in my opiniun, you won't get any better than the JX-305, and ive played on many synths also, this is the best.

The best unit for trance + techno and many dance styles, very professional, and anyone who has a true musical ability will appreciate this unit. I would never part with mine, and if your into serious music, you should get this serious board

This is awesome. I just bought it off ebay and it is incredible how much you can do with the JX-305. Anyone who doesn't have one should get one.

incredible machine for sure--built rock solid

JX305 will always be a classic to me since it was my first "real" synth. It got me going.

if you need the 5V smartmedia cards for the JX305, you can usually find them on eBay

I will always love this blue board

Only the factory preset sounds stink. When you make your own sound they get sounding great. Don't let others scare you into thinking they suck. Also, just because it's blue dosen't make it a cheaply constructed keyboard. Tap the plastic on this one and then do the same on a more expensive keyboard. It's the same thing! This is not the first keyboard I have had. I have owned about 10. Read the manual, do your homework and enjoy it. These are not just samples that cannot be modified. You can change the sounds. The guys at the Roland plant don't want to have to modify the sounds on each and every unit that leaves the factory. You have to do it yourself. This keyboard works!
