shut up!!! stop ragging ths thing, not every body has a arse load of cash to buy top o' the line stuff, not everyone can afford a ton of software and a good computer, if your starting off buy this thing its great for the bedroom producer, sure the sounds do suck...... but you can squeeze some good juice out of this mug, be creative, if someone gives you lemons make lemonade, now a 505 is alot better[because you can actually see what your programing, unlike the 303 where you have to remember what you just punched in]i think people dont want to put forward the effort to get the most out of it [probably because its a pain and a half to program]being my first puchase it was a very wise investment, cheap fun, blah if you wanna make minimal detroit hardcore stuff like me its pretty good, the korg boxes are muy bueno too,i wonder what people expect to do with this thing, its alright for techno but some of the people who post messages seem like there trying to pro gram a symphony with or like rock music,whatevr.....if you wanna get into electronic music get one but dont make it the center of your studio and dont keep it forever!keep the DOOF alive!!!

Will Adams a hobbyist user from Liverpool, UK writes:
Don't buy an MC-303. 909 sounds are crap and there's no way it sounds like a 303. In general the sounds are weak and thin, although once you get to know it, the sequencer is useful for getting ideas down. But really, all the sounds are total shite.

jon a part-time user writes:
yeah man. i the music lies solely in the creator and not the instrument. you can use the same piece to do a million things. i don't think it's the best, but it's a solid instrument for what it does and for it's price range.

shane a part-time user writes:
people dont dislike this machine for no reason. the fact you have played music for 40 years does not have anything to do with this. the mc 303 has HORRIBLE midi implementation, tacky outdated sounds and one of the most user unfriendly interfaces ever created, not to mention very signifigant memory problems with the sequencer that make it unreliable for any serious amount of sequencing. no one has said they dont like this because they can afford better gear. once again someone is making shit up out of the blue to defend this terd. if you dont have enough money for better gear than keep saving. and about your guitar comparison. a cheap guitar is still a guitar, electronic instruments are all so hugely different from one another that a price difference really does (for the most part) mean a quality difference. that is the nature of electronics. if you buy an mc 303 expecting it to sound like a tb 303 just because you have got the "creative willpower" to do so youve got a lot to learn. of course you can make music with it but it makes it a lot harder and a lot less personal, modulateable than the other stuff that is out there will allow. if you can afford 300 for one of these you can afford 500 for something better.

listentokrashman a professional user from USA writes:
Krashman speaks the truth..."creativity is soley dependant on the creator"...very solid philosophy. No real musician would knock a piece of gear that costs so little ($250 used) and does so much. The MC-303 is really guite an incredible value at that price. What's up with all these losers knocking modestly costing gear that actually delivers serious value? Ive been playing music for 40 years and I would never knock some persons $250 instrument just because I own a much bettter instrument that costs $3500. That is simply silly what to speak of unkind. Some of the best guitar playing Ive ever seen was by a guy in Mexico named Lobo who played a cheap $200 guitar. A real wizard playing at a pizza joint. Many Gypsies in Spain absolutely refuse to play on expensive instruments. Even if they are given them for free by afficianados, they will just give it away to some idiot who thinks he can play better on a "elitist" instrument. Now that is humility!! They love to make an inexpensive instrument sound AWESOME!!

Anyway, lighten up you guys who can afford better gear. Think about it, for $250 the MC-303 is absolutely one of the best pieces of kit you could find anywhere. I challenge you to name one other instrument in that price range that can even come close to the functions of the MC-303. Obviously you cannot come up with anything!! Wake up and stop comparing the MC-303 to far more expensive items. It is grossly foolish and deviantly misleading as well. Please display your ignorance and prejudice somewhere else. It does not belong here. Any real musician could kick ass with the MC-303 and YOU KNOW IT!! DUH!!!!
