This machine is incredible!! 448 tones!! 12 different rhythm sets!! 28 voices!! 133 preset patterns with 211 RPS patterns!! 300 variation patterns!! Only 50 User patterns but thats not a problem if you know what you are doing. It will record in realtime or step time. 8-track sequencer. Awesome arpeggiator with 34 styles. It even has FX!! What a piece of art!! The machine really does a lot. Very worthwhile & way underrated!

Shane being PRO or Part time has a big thing to do with it! A PRO user would be able to take any Instrument/Sound Source and create something great from it...A part time user whines and complanes cause he either can't or doesnt have the time to make anything good and relies soley on presets...I have used the 303 and it's a great lil machine...Anyone who knows basic synthesis can get ripping tones out of that and then even better ones using off the shelf plug ins.Anyone who bashes a pice of gear because they can't get anything good out of it while other do either just sucks or is a complete asshole =) ...And why not think about why this micro dude is always in here whining about a piece of gear rather than using his time to make cool shit....I use a 505 now and it sounds alot liek the 303 yet everyone bashes the 505 but all I get are rave reviews about my songs that are almost 100% 505 sound....geeee I wonder!

ok. in looking at most of the past reviews of this box the best positive description of this box is "i can keep people dancing all night with one" i have posted facts about this machine that support my opinion, which is more than i can say for most all of you. and (indirectly) calling me a rookie that doesnt write any good music at all?? who the fuck are any of you to say anything like that? none of you have any idea who i am or what kind of music i make. i am not "gear bashing" to insult anyone, and i have not once mentioned anything i own in an attempt to show off or whatever you are implying. to be frank, my reviews of this machine are more in depth than 95% of any others. i am writing these posts in order to assist people in coming to a decision on what equipment to buy. the fact that you have played music for 40 years and have never hated anything you have owned is completely irrelevant. my reviews are an accurate description of the problems this machine has. and by the way, i assure you that i am not a "rookie" i have spent a lot of time on this machine and a lot more time with others and it is my opinion that this instrument has too many problems to be worth owning. if any of you disagree, fine. let me know why with a better reason than the fact that you think i am a rookie.
