Check out this old post, (date at the bottom), talk about a visionary....

Fuzz a part-time user from USA writes: The MC-303 is quite a bargain at only $339 brand new. Check Sam Ash. You cannot find anything for $339 new that will do what this baby does. Just wait, in a few years, they'll be selling for more than that used...my prediction. This box, in the right hands, really kick ass hard. The drum sounds alone are worth the price. You cant go wrong with the MC-303 unless you have no imagination or talent, then its of no use to you. Rating: 5 out of 5 posted Saturday-Aug-04-2001 at 20:24

if you have the extra $ go for the MC-505 (or the JX-305 if you need a board). They both exceed this one by far....but if you are on a tight budget, the MC-303 does pack value for the $ just not as much as the other two machines.

Ville a part-time user from planet gong writes:
just got it yesterday afternoon, and i'm writing this at 1 am..had just too much fun with it all this time :) compact and portable, henceforth im a incorporate it into my goa-trance live act, program lots of 64-step sequences and just jam the night away :) the part mute function is veeery nice. basically all you need is one or two patterns, and to construct your song by muting and unmuting the 8 parts. excellent. if it only had battery power, i could go and lie about in a tropical beach with it, but now ill just have to do with the hotel next to that tropical beach :) preferably sinquerim beach, goa, india! downside: the construction feels kinda flimsy. wouldnt dare bang it around too much..

This machine like a dream come true. Wery trendy sounds. You can forget 808 909 303 and other. This is much better than them all. It is possible to make record with just this!
