My Pro-One is in truly 1st class condition. It is my favourite analog synth. I can create any kind of sound on this thing. The Oscilators and filters are jaw droppingly good.

The sounds I create cover:

1) Everything John Carpenter did, I do aswell! 2) Bass from hell - the hardest, the most gritty, the most elctronic sounding bass ever heard. 3) FX from outer space - The most fascinating textures you can imagine. 4) Leads - The sweetest sounding sawtooths of any synth! Identical to the Prophet 5. Warm, thick and killer.

I learned to program synths on this thing. After 3 years Im only just beginning to realise how f*&^ing good this synth really is. This has got to be the most powerful monosynth ever built. Really fantastic controls and its just instant fun.

Build quality is not great, but this doesnt bother me. Its a simply constructed synth which is easily reparable. There is absolutely no point comlaining about its build, after all what can you do about it! Just enjoy it.

This is perhaps the best monosynth you can buy. If mine goes wrong I will be out to buy a new one asap.

This is a much better synth than a minimoog. The bass end is awesom. I can't understand what your saying! Its range of sounds is much wider than the minimoog and it always sounds really clean and crisp. Tuning aint bad either. I agree with what you say about the build. A bit cheap, then it was only 350 new. What a deal!

Great Synth. 40 note sequencer included - only drawback is that your programs are lost once it is switched off! Lead and bass sounds are wicked on this, along with the filters and envelopes. Drawbacks are; the manufacturing and that (I'm sorry to say this) if you want a bass sound that blows your f~#@?$! mind then get a MINIMOOG...the PRO~ONE comes closest to what I've heard along with the ARP 2600/AXXE but misses that true bottom end that the MINI excels in. If like analogue synths then you'll love this...

twintango a part-time user from Olympia, Wa writes:
The Pro-One I own is a beautiful synth. Despite the bad reviews about the keyboard action, I seem to have gotten lucky with mine. I currently own a Prophet-5 (Rev 3.3), and a Moog Prodigy. I've also owned numerous analogs down through the years and this one I have to say is my all-time favorite. Users complain about the 'plasticky' front panel. Well, it makes it easy to maintain and clean. And it also makes it one of the lightest analogs around. Besides, what are 99% of keyboards made out of today? Thank you.

There are over 30 knobs to tweak and play with. A basic arpeggiator and a scratchpad sequencer. I sync mine up to a TR 707 and trigger some killer basslines.

It's much more flexible than the Prodigy. Has more knobs and more sync options. Is not as cumbersome as my P-5. It's an awesome monosynth.

Full marks for this one.
