Snakeboy a hobbyist user from UK writes:
A beautiful thing. Dreamy-creamy sound and huge range of classic synth textures. For a mono makes an outstanding pad machine, also excels at bass and early DM/Human League-style leads.

If I had to be picky I'd cite as downsides the lack of osc sync and a global slider/button to trigger lfo pitch mod, and I'd love a second dedicated lfo for PWM duties, but all those can be added as mods.

Even as it is though it's worth every penny and more of the GBP250 I paid for it last year.

Get one.

The CS15 is my second synth I bought and I love it ! Very good for EMS-esque whooses and lfo-tri cks :)! I use this synth bery often with my Yama ha CSY-2A organ/synthesizer by connecting it in CS15 filter input to synthesize the organ's not- so good sounds to make them sound much cooler:)! I gave 4 to my CS because it's broken (I'm not so good in DIY!!) but it will atleast operate fairly when switched on..

Joey Carlson a hobbyist user from USA writes:
I picked up the Yamaha CS-15 a few Weeks ago after I heard one used at a show. This synth is made to put out some very deep bass tones and has many other qualities to it similar to the Moog type sounds. I picked it up for $375 these are getting hard to find!

Daniel a part-time user from Sweden writes:
This is one hell of a synth. First time i plugged it in I almost blew my spekers. It dosent matter what kind of music you playing. For example, last week i had a death metal band in the studio and they just loved it. Patch the ambience mic thru the external input and get wild with the filter. If you find one i recomend you to buy it.

CS-15 kicks some serious ass! i luve mine and will prolly never part with it. But, like with any (oldish) gear you buy, there's always the risk that in time they can get broken. Mine has started behaving a bit strangely lately and so im looking for a service manual / schematics for it. If you have those for the old CS-15, I would be very pleased to have you contact me via email! Love, Peace and Analog Voltages! :)

^^Let's keep those analogs alive and kickin!^^
