Lets see along with the AN1x, I have a Z1, nordlead 2, and jp-8000 in my studio and the AN1x in terms of sound stacks up right up there with the rest, which cost me more than twice as much as for what I got my AN1x($439.88). I love them all!!!! They all sound awesome....AN1X gets a 5, no doubt!!!

On a price/performance basis I give it a 5. It's the best 499 I ever spent.

Tom Finegan a hobbyist user from Germany writes:
Got my AN1x today. :O) It fits very well with my ER-1. I can make trancey pads, stomping basses or Daft Punkish squeals. With the brilliant AN1x from Gary Gregson you dont need to touch the synth, except to play your riffs. Its a marvellous cheap (i paid $499) wonderfull sounding synthesizer. Though the case is the cheap one of the CS1/2x, the keyboard is very much playable. And it has a nice color, did i mention that it fits my ER-1? ;O)

i'm playing yet ANOTHER gig with my an1x (3 years now and counting, i'm one of the lucky ones!). hint to all the keyboard players out there....if you want to be the coolest guy in the cllub (especially to the sound guy), bring out a 1972 rhodes, korg trinity and yamaha an1x and right from sound check, you will indeed be pampered. but it's my blue baby that i love the most (very jamiroquai-esque).

superdominick a professional user from U.S./Chicago writes:
Just picked one up from the local Guitar Center used. Paid $660.00 total. I will never sell this or trade for anything. This thing is amazing. There are infinite possibilities. Drank 3 cups of coffe with some NoDoze and played with this thing for 20 hours straight. A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE SERIOUS WITH MUSIC. Many professionals use this machine. I would spend $1000.00 bucks if I had to. If you find one, fight for it. They're tough to get. Good luck on your mission. Yamaha needs to make an AN2X and stop with this imitation CS_X versions.
