peter kadar a professional user from Canada writes:
This is a great sounding synth, but as others have said it's really tough to program. I wish I had a computer for editing. I've had a heck of a time just trying to figure out simple things like routing vibrato to a mod wheel, and I've been programming for over a decade. Still, one can create really cool sounds just by switching patches around in performance mode, but it's hard to maintain inspiration when you want to go far beyond that. This aspect makes my TG-77 look dead simple by comparison. The sound quality is outstanding. But because it's such a bear to program, I can't give it a 5 star rating. Perhaps the best way to look at it is this: for the rest of my life, I will always have a place to look for really cool and unique sounds. It's just a bit of a drag that it's partly due to the interface and susbseqent loss of inspiration that one will only attempt to dig deeper in spurts.

Wonderful sonic pleasure machine. Very tricky to learn, but really worthwhile. This device is extremely inspirational to me and I find it unlike any other synth I own. I've had this synth for over 2 years and its one of the coolest items I ever bought. Gets plenty of use whenever I want pure FM-- maximum impact!!

Grence a part-time user from Spain writes:
This synth is the most powerful synth engine ever!!! 8 voiced operators add 8 unvoiced operators (that you can transform into one of the 4 classic waves, just have in mind the kick your ass interface) add 88 algorythms. 16 operators per voice and 4 voices per program: YOU CAN HAVE 64 OPERATORS (THAT FUNCTIONS AS OSCILLATORS) IN UNISON MODE!!!! I smile when someone says that digital synths can't sound fat. I DO HAVE SOUNDS IN THIS SYNTH SO DEEP THAT NOR P5 NOR MATRIX 12 CAN MATCH!!!! HYPERPOWERFUL HYPERDEEP BASSES!!!! You know that characteristic metallic sound in the DX7? You will have it here but increased by 4 or 8 times!!!! DX7 compatibility, but have in mind that you will have a 6 operator patch (so you have another 10 operators to improve that patch!!!!!!!!!). IMPRESSIVE, SUPERB-SYNTH-ENGINE, NEVER-HEARD-ANYWHERE-SOUNDS, REALLY-HARD-TO-EDIT-KICK-YOUR-ASS-SEEK-FOR-A-SOFTWARE-EDITOR-INTERFACE, HEY-NO-PCM-WAVES-THIS-IS-A-SYNTH!!!!!!!!
