Bryan a hobbyist user from Ohio, USA writes:
What a tank. Both physically, and sound wise.

I bought it for 685USD, and when I took it out of the box, it weighed a ton [internal power supply]. But I wouldn't be afraid if I were to drop it, metal sides and backing, I think it'd probably break a floorboard before the synth would be destroyed.

Soundwise, its magnificent. 3osc, and a subosc, and two filters. Mega fatness and depth can be achieved. Or the most bizarre sounds. The random patch generator is interesting..but for me, I haven't yielded any usable results [but its a nifty starting point]

A lot of people complain about the menus, but its a massive synth. And personally, I don't think there are a lot. I use an Alesis Micron w/ a band I am in, and I hate that [to program] more than the Virus. Not to mention the Micron has nothing really for live edits. The virus has a lot dedicated for live edits[knob wise] and most menu edits are a few clicks away.

Once you are infekted with the virus, don't bother looking for the cure, because there is none.

Astral Abuse a part-time user from Switzerland writes:
I bought this synth today, for about 800$ (!!!). It's a really really really musical box. It sounds great, better than millions other synths. The sound is deep and sharp. The reverb is perfect too (warm).

Oh, waow!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

I think this machine will inspire me a lot!!!!!!!!

This is a classic synth. Has personality and character. Always inspiring. Takes time getting used to programming it, but worth is well worth it!

There's only one!

The rest are toast compared to this. I have a huge collection, but this one is the most used of all my synths.
