The Virus Ti is an ever improving nuance of the Virus C series - With the welcomed arrival of the Hypersaw and Wavetable oscillators the Ti is nothing short of superlative in the world of VA synthesis. The TI or "Total Integration" plugin is as impressive as it is capable - by this meaning that what is does and can do is brilliant, however it is still being upgraded and developed but is a worthy selling point for it's future prospects given that access are so devoted to getting it 100% functional in such a quick time. My only wish is that Access keep ontime with it's product and update release forecasts. In short, the Ti is an amazing piece of kit with maximum potential to any genre of music, I want another one!

Amazing Synth...We really love it,running only on USB with 1.07 OS and 1.07 software..... We do have problems with 1.08 and 1.09 though... Logic 5.5.1,Athlon 3000XP,ASUS Board,MOTU 828 mk2,Hard drive FAT 32 (Not NTFS),Windows XP sp1 Audio tweaked...... We use it on all tracks and can't get enough of it..... Sound: 5/5

Stability: 4/5 (1.07 very stable)

I don't have much time, so here the main points: -wavetables: sound okay, but somehow, they still don't fit into what the virus is considered to sound. the wavetables aren't very versatile and haven't the quality of waldorf's wave, but they are usable. If you are into trance, pop etc, you won't like them though -hypersaw: somewhat unusable because a single saw with 8 unison sounds much lusher than a hypersaw. but the hypersaw needs less voices therefore (2 voices instead of 8) -integragion: buggy as hell, I doubt they will sort out the bugs -look: not the beloved retro look anymore, somewhat "futuristic", I don't like it -support: access neds average three days to reply :-( -knobs: solid built, but I like the knobs of my virus B more -very bad: it can destroy your cpu if you plug the USB cable in too early -my computer didn't recognise the virus first, I had to buy a new USB PCI card :-( -Logic not supported!!!!! -in comparison to the used-virus-prices very expensive, but still more worth than a clavia (unless you are into psytrance, 303 sounds and disto sounds)

if you need a virus TI instead of an older (but used, but much cheaper) one is up to you.

I give 3 points which is rather a subjective decision of my feeling (which is not that good)

Hi, my english is bad, sorry, but I must write here my impresion. I have the TI four months now, I agree with nustex. the updates doent improve the system. TI looks well, and good patches, but system not stable. someone said it is only 95% completet, that's true. Looks better than all the viruses ago, but it looks like it will be in beta phase for ever. 4 monts and no better system now. I have owned virus b, virus c and now the ti. I will sell my TI to some poor fellow. You wanna be poor fellow? Go look at ebay. I will create account djrex27 and sell it. buy it from me and you will write here at sonicstate the same review. 1 point. looking: 5 points, but I want hear it, not look it.

Hi, I am known as Nustex and work as a DJ producer in Sweden. My first virus was a C which I recently sold to buy a TI. And that was a huge mistake! Don't get me wrong, it looks very good, a dot matrix display, not that dark as the Virus C, you don't have to go through that many menu pages anymore, and it has a digital out now (but only 16 bit spdif).

To be honest, I am desperated. It crashes all the time, even whilst programming sounds, and the changes are all lost then! The Arp doesn't work, hanging notes all the time, no sample accurate timing. Even hanging notes when you use MIDI through ordinaty MIDI cables only. Everytime when access releases an OS update, you get new hope, but the new OS doesn't improve anything. I am so desperate. I want my Virus C back which was rock solid!

The hypersaw, what a hype marketing gag! You can achieve a better sounding hypersaw when you use the ordinary saw with some unison! The wavetables, well, most of them are bellish, the others simply sound unusable...

I really want my Virus C back!
