okay, here we go. this is a totally subjective review. I'm still waiting for my TI to arrive, but I've testet it for 3 hours at 2 days so I quite know the synth...
My advice: if you have a virus already, don't buy it! keep your virus and buy something else instead, or spend it on holiday with your girlfriend/wife... The improvements aren't worth the change.
Pros: -Virus Sound (you gotta love it if you buy that thingy of course) -great interface, nice knobs, dimming LFO leds
Cons: -Hypersaw, it's a gag, doesn't sound good. If u r looking for some stacked saws, get a JP8080 (which I own) -Wavetables, can't use it in your songs nor do they sound well -Integation is buggy, hanging notes, arps out of sync etc. -only 16bits through USB
the only advantage of the TI to its precedessors is the better interface, bigger poliphony and a nice display
as already said, if you own a virus already, don't buy it. if you don't own a TI yet, go to the shop, have some listening and then consider buying a used one at ebay, probably virus b or c, or virus a for 10 quids...
I bought this one because I'm insane and I like the display
