Sean a hobbyist user from Jer-z Shore writes:
Lost or rather got mine stolen. God I need another one. Can't afford the 4000. Had my mpc 2000xl since 2001. Only thing I would use to sequence. Can't have it no other way. Love how the thing quantizes. Great for hip hop yeah I guess, but hits hard for industrial as well. Think Ministry. It's real tight!

Wayne a part-time user from United States writes:
My name is Wayne. I currently use Reason and Fruity loops to produce. I am interested in getting an MPC. I have been reading scratch magazine and everyone seems to use it. People are saying that the thing that make it special is the sequencing. I can't get my drum patterns quite the way I want with Reason and Fruity loops. The Midi clock is too slow on the computer. My drum patterns don't come out the way I want them to. I have been doing research, but why do many producers prefer the MPC over software?

Gil a professional user from Seattle, Washington writes:
Bought an MPC 2000xl and I've got to say it's the cats pajamas. The machine is smooth and easy and very transpartent. As soon as I integrated it in my studio it started to make money. I love that it's so flexible and the MTC is to die for. I've tried computer sequencers and yes they do have their purpose but that nagging latency can get very old. I'm doing album projects/demos/my own albums with this cool machine and I'm just starting to scratch the surface. I have two Akai S 5000 samplers hooked up to my MPC and Wow, the sky is the limit. You need to put the time into learning this machine and the curve isn't too bad. Once you have it look out, you'll never look back. What was missing in my studio was beats and now I'm in heaven. Just like anything else, you get what you put into it. If you're prepared to learn you will be making beautiful music. Peace, Gil
