As I keep repeating over and over, name another sequencer (that isn`t an mpc) that has 16 velocity and aftertouch sensitive pads, lets you alter each individual notes attack, decay, filtering and tuning all from the stepedit screen without the need to assign controllers along with the usual notelength and velocity. And one that has a slider to alter all those paramters if thats whats required. And one that features decay switching so you can use the aforementioned slider to increase the lenght of the decay and then drop in a half and/or fully open hat into the mix. How about sounds automatically cancelling themselves out so your hihats sound like they`ve been played by a drummer?

I have another sampler to handle twisting out my sounds, the MPC is quick and intuitive to use to a point that after a couple of months you dont even realise you`re using it - no staring at some vertical bar as it crosses the screen or clicking some frigging mouse to do your arranging - just listen to the music cos as painfully obvious as this is to say, music is not visual and its not always wise to bring that element into the studio. No, it aint perfect by any means, but if you actually concentrated on what it does rather than what it cant do (if you bought one of these expecting a fully-fledged sampler then you deserve to be disappointed) then maybe you`d notice that this box has a lot going for it.
