I think that once Akai works out the kinks to the MPC 2500 and it performs the way that it's advertised to, then you'll have a very production sampler on your hands.
The sound quality that comes out of it sounds great. Although it's resolution is 16-bit 44.1khz, it still has that solid sound that the MPC is known for. The sequencer also has a great groove when programming samples, which in my opinion is better than a computer sequencer.
After the update, it deserves a 5.

MPC-2500 I am having a hard time saving files and loading them back up off of my mpc 2500. The program always looses information and sometimes the sequence has issues loading sometimes. If you have professional advice on how to make this function work better email me.

You have the option of moving your MPC 2000s files from your SCSI drives to your PC. You can do this if you have a Zip 250 drive installed on your PC or get a USB 250 Zip drive. Save all your files to your PC and use the MPC 2500s USB function to move your files from your PC to MPC.
Keep in mind that the 2500 is not compatible with ALL MPCs (specifically...older MPC ALL TYPE FILES) Visit www.akaipro.com or www.mpc-fourms.com for more info.
