You gotta love Numark for recognising the power of the Akai brand and snapping it up when they were down. Amazing to think that one of the biggest names in music production technology got to be in such a mess. Anyhow, the MPC2500 - seems like a good idea, but 128mb RAM max? C'mon - that's not going to be enough for any artist who's made more than one album to use live - and if you want to use the phrase samples - no where near enough without loading sounds between songs.
I guess that fact that it will read compact flash might mean quicker date reading times...
