I have owned an MPC3000 since Febuary 14th 1995. I received it as a Valentines Day present from my Girlfriend. There is no Drum machine Sampler that can touch it. I maxed out the memory and added a scsi drive and that is all you need baby. I would not sell it for any amount of money. Although I have used it so much that the paint is coming off of the top. Using it is better than a hootchie any day. My one complaint is I need to know what is the optimum swing setting for a Hip-Hop song around 97 BPM. Sometimes my drums are off. Can you help me out ? Last thing Do not buy a 2000 it is a waste of time.

I got an incredible deal on a MPC3000 then sold it to buy a MPC2000 STUDIO PLUS. BIG MISTAKE!!

The effects on the 2000 are thin garbage and they can't be adjusted realtime. The 3000 has triple tap delay which you can change realtime. Sampling is easier and cleaner(I believe) on the 3000. Use stereo drums on the 2000 and you'll swear it has only 8 voices. The 3000 has 10 DACs, I think the 2000 is splitting time with less(even expanded) They chopped cost somewhere. I'll take a MPC3000 over a MPC2000 any day.

if you have an MPC60 and you don't have a MPC3000 yet you definately don't want a MPC2000. You would be taking a step backwards, trust me. I had a MPC60 maxed out with the 60II upgrade for years. It nust have paid for itself at least 10 times. I got a real good deal on a maxed out MPC3000 and you'll have to pry it from my cold dead fingers!!! PS: the video card is a waste unless your almost blind!
