I bought mine 2 years ago for about $200. Haven't used it for a while I just re-discovered it. It has a very broad range of sounds. Definitely worth the money. It has filters! They're not Juno106 filters, but good enough though. You get an awful lot of analog for an unbelievable low price.

A solid machine with a load of good sounds. It doesn't offer much control, but then that was never the intention. The only drawbacks are that while it can easily be set to multitimbral use, the only way of setting pans is via a computer. And it can't save your multi-settings either, AND the only way to get to other reverbs than Room 1, is, yes, via computer. SO, with a computer this is really a little monster, without it's usable while not being anything amazing. But for the price, one really can;t complain.

Just bought this for 140dollars. Great for its price, and a good completition for my Roland M-VS1 which lacks the good basses that the Akai got. And i really like the drums too, those old Simmons SDS5 sounds great, and not so "usual" as the roland tr/cr series, which are boring today i think.

Nice little machine. Great sounds, a bit fiddly to use but manageable.
