I like my XR10. It got it's own sound and cuts trough the mix. Sounds are kinda acoustic and present but outdated in some way... but hey, they say 80's are comming back, right. To start with this thing is easy, but deep programming without a manual is almost no-go. Midi is also limited as it can't sync to midi in basic pattern mode... it acctually forces you to start building your song in song mode so you can sync it with other MIDI equipment. Sequencer is cool. Output needs preamp, pads seems to be good, all working flawlessly after 20+ years.

Got mine years ago, and only know how to use the very basic presets. I didn't get a manual with it when purchased....Does anyone know where to get one! I like what I hear, but I'm limited. Thanks if you can help!

Akai XR10. Brilliant. I got mine from a music shop who had it from new and only used it occasionally when needing a drum background for jamming against. Got it last year for £100 and It's fab...
