AX-60 rocks! the VCO is actually rather warm. it may be known for being a 'harsh' juno, but frankly i think its pad sounds are a little brighter. good for bubbly bass.

Well, honestly, this guy is making his opinion out to be some sort of fact. For one thing.. It IS a REAL analog, fool! More so than the Juno 106. Also, if you can't fit an ax-60 in your mix, you must be some kind of idiot! I've made whole songs multitracking this thing. To me it's got a beautiful sound. Dark??? This is thing is BRIGHT as anything! I think you have your terms mixed up.. Go spend some more time with synths in general and come back and write a review later.

Don't bother with this synth at all. I used to own one; it sucks. Buy a real analog, like an: ARP, Roland, Moog, or a Korg. The AX-60 would only be good for audio input (specific sampler cord required...), and the bell tones. The sound of the AX-60 is hard to work with, it usually sounds dark and out of place :(

Best bet to buy a Juno synth or a old Korg Polysix if you a considering buying a AX-60. You should pay atleast 150 bucks for the AX-60

You're missing the point of the ax-60. I don't think it was meant to be as "warm" as the 106, even though I like its "warmth" better, anyway. It different sonically, and is more versatile in my opinion. capable of warm sounds, but can be much more agressive. Great synth, IMO MUCH better than a 106 anyday. And cheaper too. Even though people have been trying to raise the prices they haven't been able to sell them for 106 prices! yay!
