I got one used for 80 $ canadian. Best deal of my life
Its grey, and its got 1.07 OS, so it crashes after about 4 hours of uninterrupted use. I can live with that
Editing is long and painstaking, but transferring sequences from Cubase is so simple, i wonder why everyone is complaining:
1- Plug the midi out of your computer to the midi in of the mmt8 2- In Cubase, go to Options/Synchronisation, and check "Send MIDI Clocks" (NOT TimeCode!) on the appropriate MIDI output (most sequencers can send midi clocks) 3- on the MMT8, make sure clock source is MIDI & INTERN, press record, select a track. 4- In Cubase, press play.
your MMT-8 is sow synchronised. Apply quantise to 1/64 after recording to eliminate the SLIGHT delay caused by old school MIDI clocks - 1PPQN/96...
Until i figured this out i was unhappy with it. But with a computer to compose on and dump patterns for storage via SysEx, THIS IS THE GREATEST MUSIC MAKING MACHINE EVER SO GO GET ONE NOW DAMMIT!
