Absolutely true!! Do NOT buy this garbage. I also bought one based on these great reviews here and after 5 mins I hated it totally. Very boring sounds, wierd interface and pure cheese all the way. One of the WORST pieces of gear I ever bought & one of the fastest returns I ever made. Nano-Bass is useless!! Get a pulse, bassstation or MB33, but NOT the nano-bass. I guarantee that if you get nano-bass you will be sorry!!! 100% sorry!!

I just can't belive the high review ratings. Bought it brand new, and unfortunately unheard, for 1000 SEK (approx 95 USD). Complete waste of money. I'll try to sell it asap or use it as a door stop or something. Extremely boring bread and butter, GM/XG like sounds, that we have heard thousands of times before. Solid build construction though. WARNING!! If you're the least into experimental, electronic or industrial music, then you should absolutely not buy the nanobass, at any price.

Im surprised that people actually are satisfied with this Nano-trash. I got mine 2 years ago and dumped it fast. Took the cash and added another $100 to it and got a used Waldorf Pulse. Man, am I glad I did that. There is really not much to do with the Nano-Bass except sell it IMHO. Im a bass guitar player for over 35 years, so maybe Im more picky about my sounds. But I urge you to consider a better bass synth than this one. The Pulse is a bit more costly, but will kick this Nana-Bass in the Low End every time.....without a doubt. Dont waste your hard-earned cash!! Buyer beware.

We have been using this unit in our studios for well over a year. we only bought one as a customer requested one for a certain project and thought that it would then be stored in the gear cupboard in case anyone wanted to use one again --- no way -- ever since we plugged it in its stayed in the rack and switched on every day. it's so handy to be able to dial up a good bass sound without the hassle of tweeking knobs or programming -- some people moan about the lack of ajustment and being able not to program it well all I can say is thank goodness for that. we use it far more then any of the other bass modules we have simply because it sounds good without having to waste time ( and time is money ) programming it. Well done those people at alesis and I think that the nano piano and synth will be in our next years gear budget, they'll pay for thenselves( in time saved) within a couple weeks - marks out of 5 = 10 mike anthony Taliesin Studio's uk

I found one for about 100 USD from local music shop. Normal price for this box is about 300 USD in Finland...
Sounds really surprised me, especially industrial category has quite awesome sounds, and acoustic sounds are also useful, and I dont think it needs much external fx. I had some problems with the box, which I think were caused by cakewalk. After a while, all the sounds started sounding distorted, and completely fu**** up, I thought I broke something but when I connected the box directly to synth the problem disappeared. I still dont know what caused this, maybe Cakewalk messed up some of the parameters ?
But for 100$ you cant complain, and because of the great variety of sounds I'll also give it a 5/5.
