kits are very good.The pianos are very realistic.It also have some cool technoish

synth sounds and effects.The guitars are up there thou a little weak but not bad at all.The fact that you can add so much more sounds via a flash ram card and other Qcards I mean who can go wrong with 2 pcmcia cards in the QS8 and 2 more in the QSR if you own one.That means not only you get great sound from the QS8 you can get around 3x the amount of sounds from the Qcards.Now I dont own any of the Qcards or a QSR its to expensive for me but the fact of owning a great synth with major possibilitis is why I love my QS8.

I also want to say that a nother reason why I love this synth is because you can totally manipulate and recreate you own sounds threw the mix and program options and ther is a lot of things you can do to make a cool or unique sound

and I believe this is where why people say that is so fun to play and mess with the QS8 that at time you dont play music just have fun inventing new sounds.

However I think so far the only problem that I have with the QS8 is that it doesnt have good resonant effect feature like say a Roland xp10 or real Korgish resonant effects oh well cant have everything but it does have some cool tripy

anolog reso and multi effects like you can you a sound patch that incorperates a

resonant feature and make it morph into different sounds just by editing and yousing the effects wheel.Welp thats my fealings and thought about the QS8.

cheap.Sounds are great,especially pianos (with some changes of paramet.),

organs are bombastic, strings also, saxes excellent, all sounds are high

quality, exept maybe guitars, which are bad (even chunky guitars from

cheap Yamaha MU50 module are much better). Controllers are exellent,and

now about hammer piano.

I especially like the excellent weighted key action, and some of the sounds are just amazing. I find myself looking for patches

and getting lost in all of the beautiful sounds. My personal favorites are double-eno, PureStereo, Nanites... there are sooo many

good sounds on this thing... and you hook up Unisyn... and you have ultimate control. The ability to configure 16 channels up up to

four patches a piece with up to 4 different effects busses makes this really useful for doing midi work. Especially considering you

don't need anything but a serial cable to hook up to your mac or PC. This keyboard is a no-brainer purchase. My brother liked it so

much, he bought one too.
