BE WARNED: The claims of its huge memory and flexibility are vastly exaggerated.
I have done a fair bit of research and found that this machine is great for people who either want: 1) to programme and record one song at a time
or
2) to store lots of songs but only use boring tappy tappy drum patterns with no elaborate fills and no subtle touches.
Bought it to use as a stage drum machine and looked forward to using its huge user pattern memory.
There are 50 user slots but with each having A and B [01A, 01B] etc there are really 100. They also cliam that you can double that because of the fill mode i.e. each pattern can have a fill attached to it [01A, 01A fill, 01B, 01B fill] but this is where the problems began.
Every time I use a fill pattern in a song it either adds a crash cymbal to the start of the next pattern [if there wasn't one already] or deletes it if there was!!!
This basically halves the available memory [unless you grossly over-simplify things] and is the reason why I filled the machine with barely more than 20 different songs - and I work in a country band so that isn't exactly THAT complicated pattern-wise...
