Out of this world. Most songs that I really love have that famous omni strings on them. No one in there right mind would slag this synth off because it's amazing for what it was designed to do. Why do you think people still use them?. Because nothing can compare with it. It's an important part of music history.

I wanted strings, well: I have them...and much more ! This organ-synth makes THE sound that I've always searched for. The filter is the same as the later Odysseys, and I use it a lot for Dub-style music. I made a mod in the synth: I wanted a "Jarre-like" effect. So I bet a tech to incorporate a vintage electro-Harmonix small stone inside the omni (after the phaser and before the amp): Now I'm flying among the stars, and don't want to come back to the earth's ground...

Cant see why this board has been attacked so strongly. It sounds fat and real classic. Sounds of the era stuff. 70s, 80s and now. The strings are identical to the Solina. REMEMBER THAT! Makes the omni a great deal. The best filter sweeps you will ever hear. The bass section is THE most powerful bass sound ever!

Sounds great. Real classic analogue. Thundering bass. Light yrs ahead of the polymoog. looks good. Why are so many bad mouthing it? Most of your best tracks from the 70s contained one. The strings do sound like a Solina. Don't let others fool you. Great filter sweeps. Built like a tank. Owners generally love em'

I BOUGHT MINE NEW IN 76 AND GAVE IT AWAY IN 89. I HAVE STARTED PLAYING AGAIN AND FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS HAVE OWNED MANY BOARDS WITH MANY STRING SOUNDS AND LAYERS. I JUST GOT MY OMNI BACK, STILL IN CALZONE CASE AND IT WAS NEVER PLAYED. I WAS VERY HAPPY TO HAVE IT BACK BECAUSE THE STRING SOUND WITH ATTACK AND RELEASE ARE SOUNDS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RECREATE WITH ANY BOARD I HAVE OWNED OR PLAYED. THIS SOUND IS AS REAL AS IT GETS FOR THE BUCK. I THINK IT WAS 1500.00 US IN THE 70'S. I HAVE TO RECAP IT BUT THE TIME WILL BE WELL WORTH HAVING THE SOUND BACK. I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THEIRS AS MUCH AS I ENJOY MINE. ROBERT
