Tom Costa and Tony Banks have set this synth in history with their distinctive virtuosity. As famous a synth line as anything you'll hear from analogue. Magic.

Listen to Genesis "Cinema Show" Tony Banks synth solo (at the end of the track) and you'll know what it is all about ! One of the great analog sound ever !

A neat simple analog, it won't knock you over but does sound quite nice. Arp didn't work overtime building this one but they still sound cool and are fun to mess around with, not too shabby for a preset synth !

Cracking little thing for Genesis coverbands, ProSoloists are thin on the ground and this is close enough for those Tony Banks widdlings and smooth leads. watch out though it IS heavy for its small size, heavier than two white Odysseys and ProSoloist all together in fact.

buldogge a hobbyist user from USA writes:
Great write-up for this synth. I don't have all that much to add except that this synth does have some wonderfull sounds (Comic Wow is just awesome). It is not deep or phat, instead I find it to be best described as a bit biting. Don't expect for the sax to sound anything like a sax, but if you want classic analog sound-forms, this one really does have that 70's feel. Really, a very fun synth to play, and the aftertouch is definitely fun. They go pretty cheap, and are definitely a steal compared to most Arps. I got mine from a friend and it's in mint condition.

Also, it really is quite an attractive synth, with the nicest wood sides I have ever seen--they are moulded and have a nearly delicate feeling. But, don't be fooled by the appearance, this is one solid synth. Add on my Anvil case and it's instant hernia time. But, mine never travels, it just sits there looking and sounding majestic. BTW, mine still has it's plexiglass music stand. I just love this Arp, and I'll never even consider selling it. Well, maybe I'd trade it for a mint 2600--nah:)
