My mom bought me a DR-55 at a garage sale for 10 bucks. Smart mom. I love the sound but would love info on mods and maybe a manual

I have to admit the DR-55 looks like something you would buy from Toys R Us these days and the limited sounds and features will scare alot of people away>>BUT little do they know you can get some catchy beats!! and run The Boss thru Effects the unit sounds like a Million bucks HONESTLY!!For the price if not free you would be a fool not to play around with one.Judge for your self

A great machine! This is the key to the birth of synth-pop. The Dr-55 was extensivly used by heroes like Depeche Mode (in their very early days, documented on a live-bootleg from 1980, before "Speak and Spell"), early Anne Clark, Chris Carter, New Order (check out "Truth"), Sisters of Mercy (first Singles), Nine Circles... It was my first drummachine and I used to be very impressed by its sound. I had no mix in these days so I plugged it into an bass-amp: Very harsh sound! I think it can be best compared to a CR-78. Because its all analogue one might suggest to trigger the bass and snare by an external drumpad, just like Kraftwerk did. Its a shame that my own DR-55 is retired - Its broken since years. But I'll get it fixed someday. So if you find one, don't hesitate. It's a MUST.
