I finally after being dissapointed in the the live stage sound hooked up my old dr synth module i bought in 1996 and it out performed the sdx. why can't the live sounds of digital pianos interpret thru a pa ? this sound module does. doug

Before the Hammond simulator MIDI modules came out, I used the organ sounds thru a Leslie 147 for an awesum (yet unajustable) Hammond Sound. It still works in a pinch for organ.

I use the thing for MIDI playback. Typmani rolls are incredible (build them using Step input, then randomize/humanize a couple of points). I am disappointed that the industry has not built improved models attthe economy that this represents.

I think using several of these is a good idea. It beats paying thousands for the lastest gizmo. You hit the polyphony limit using all 16 tracks. I agree banjo is a killer. I use the drum kits for building loops (cymbals, bongos/congas, TAMBORINE).

While you could get everything out of the front end of an SC you were very limited with the DS330. As a stand alone module it was therefore very limited . . . however (as others now know) with a computer editor/sequencer you could get in behind the interface and could do a heck of a lot more with it.

I'm just getting back into writing music / sequencing after a few years out and will be resurrecting the DS330 for sure!
