Just got mine and I really love this thing. I am using it for Bass and also Keyboards and drum machines. It is wickedly cool!! Lotta bang for the buck. Gives me a lot of variations on sounds in my current setup. I highly recommend it for those of you who like to tweak knobs. It gives me a lot of control over my sound that I did not have before. AMAZING!! You can pick one up for between $100 & $125. Not a bad price considering what it will do for you.

The BOSS "Bass Synthesizer" SYB-3 is built for bass players.

It got the size of a standard effect by BOSS.

Plug your bass guitar into the SYB-3, and you'll have an analog synth.

You can also use a keyboard.

There are 11 sound modes : 7 analog with a built in VCO and 4 filters for distorted waves or autowah.

Analog sounds are monophonic. Filters are polyphonic.

The VCO : SAW, SQUARE, PWM, SAW - 1 octave, SAW + noise, SQURE + noise, SAW + noise - 1 octave.

Noise and Octaver are added to the wave forms because the SYB-3 is too small to have a sub-oscillator and a noise generator.

The knobs : frequency, decay, VCF (resonnance).

You got one input and two output (dry signal/synth signal for mono or stereo) and a hold function to create waves (just press the footswitch continusly).

THE SOUNDS ARE GREAT : all you need from a monophonic analog synth is avaible. Deep bass of course are axcellent. Noises and effect too.

To hear it : goto my site :
