I bought my brand new in 1991 a year after it came out. At the time this thing was the Bomb!!! and in my humble opinion it still is!! 32 tracks,,64 units (or snippets of data you can use for repeats saving memory) total editing functions. Many editing functions that are not even found on some of todays computer software sequencers!!!!! True the display is a little small but it shows everything you need to see and is not confusing!!! I even made a custom keypad for the unit.. I opened it up and interfaced the buttons with a 15 conductor shielded cable 10 feet long and made a box with large soft touch momentary switches..worked like a charm and I can sit the unit on my keyboard rack at eye level and have the remote box at my fingertips works great. I still use it 2007 and everything works even the floppy drive..I will never sell it!!!I also have a Roland VM-3100pro and use it as my digital mixer to input track into the computer..but all sequencing is done with the PDC-100 I love it!!!

I bought my PDC-100 about the same time 1992. It has been a GOD send for someone with a limited budget and has worked flawlessly until now. For some reason it will not format a disk. I also have the Brother midi-30 that I bought before the pdc-100, and it still is working great. Only thing is it is not general midi and only 2 tracks, but you can ping pong and get a lot of music into it. I have put as meany as 30 song on one floppy. I wish Brother had kept making midi gear like these two and I thank they could have captured the market from all the others. Luther

I gave a review some time ago on the PDC 100. I did not place it on ebay, but I do have an offer to sell. I have also received many request for copies of the manual. I now offer the manual on CD in PDF file format or as an email attachment for more information contact me @ roberttjohnson@yahoo.com

I agree that the Brother PDC 100 is a great and overlooked midi sequencer. The PDC 100 is great if your current midi keyboard does have a built in sequencer. It's also small and very powerfull. I got mine about ten years ago, but I can not remember what I paid for it. I no longer use it and plan to place it on Ebay. I still have the original manual, power supply and cables. Once again I agree it's great.

I agree with kenetyk:the PDC100 is overlooked has all the functions needed to write midi(or midi librarian) and is extemely economical.I picked mine up used in '93 for $121.I've also used the Yamaha QX7 and the Roland MC-50mkII(my personal favorite stand alone midi sequencer)over the years.my only complaint about the pdc100 is that the buttons wear out and you really have to push them sometimes.I tried the link to the Owners Manual but no luck.I don't suppose there is a users group out there?
