The Casio CT-640 is an easy to use synthesizer/keyboard. It doesn't pack a lot of sound patches or drum kits, but it does feature several useful features, including:
465 Tone Bank: Using this feature, you can mix two sound patches together to create unique sounds, and even mix a sound patch with the drum kit.
Recording: You can record the keys you play and then you can play it again. Great to see how well you are playing.
It may not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it makes a great starting keyboard, featuring 61 full size keys.
